Queensland Treasury colleagues dobbed in a statistician after recognising him from a police alert about a cyclist linked to 20 car keying incidents on a dangerous bike route, a court has heard.

Brisbane Magistrates Court heard Glen Thomas Heyen, 60, was captured on CCTV later the same morning as one of the incidents, wearing a bike helmet, a similar red bicycle and a similar blue backpack.
