Queensland researchers have discovered why quolls are dropping dead after marathon sex sessions, and it is giving them clues on better ways to conserve the species.

Researchers from the University of the Sunshine Coast, in collaboration with the University of Queensland, have conducted a broader project looking at the behaviour of northern quolls on the relatively isolated Groote Eylandt in the Gulf of Carpentaria.
