One of Madison’s largest car dealerships and one of the country’s oldest is changing hands after more than 115 years.
Smart Motors, which started out selling the Apperson Jack Rabbit, sold Studebakers in the 1950s and then became Wisconsin’s first Toyota dealership in the 1960s, has been sold to Baxter Auto Group of Omaha, Nebraska.
