The Queensland Education Department has defended its plan to move the East Brisbane State School from under a Gabba grandstand to a site next to Coorparoo Secondary College.
A new master plan for the secondary college includes East Brisbane State School, but not the Brisbane School of Distance Education, which in turn will be displaced by the school.
