A Somerset County man was convicted for his role in the armed robbery of $100,000 in jewelry and cell phones from a luxury car rental business in 2021, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office said Friday.

Melvin Banks, 37, of the Somerset section of Franklin Township, was found guilty of first-degree armed robbery, second-degree conspiracy and witness tampering, according to the prosecutor’s office.
