Millions of Aussies cop extra $200 expense

Millions of Aussies are paying more for their car insurance, with a staggering 80 per cent reporting their insurer had hiked their premium in the past year.

The average Aussie is now paying $1,472 a year to insure their car, Mozo analysis has found, but some motorists are forking out even more. Victorian drivers are paying $1,817, on average, for their yearly premiums, while New South Wales drivers are paying $1,717, on average.
