What is it? The MG4 is an all-new fully electric hatch – and of interest here because it was the first electric vehicle in Australia to limbo under the $40,000 barrier. Since its launch, another small Chinese-built EV, the BYD Dolphin, has undercut it by $100.
What does it cost? The MG4 starts at $38,990 plus on-road costs. The top model, with a longer range and more equipment, is $56,000 plus on-road costs.
