A private school student used fake bank transfers in an elaborate scam to steal cars for sale on Facebook Marketplace.
The 17-year-old offender used a fake name and presented a fake drivers licence during the transactions before making off with vehicles on two occasions in January last year.
The now 18-year-old teen, who had no criminal history, was given the benefit of a restorative justice order when he was sentenced for the offending in October.
