A child is in a critical condition and a driver is dead after three cars collided in Gippsland on Tuesday.

The cars crashed at the intersection of Traralgon-Maffra Road and Farmers Road in Glengarry about 3.50pm. One of the drivers, a 35-year-old Glengarry man, died at the scene. His passenger, a six-year-old boy, was flown to The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne in a critical condition with upper body injuries.
