Australia loves a drive-thru. Before the pandemic, the country became home to the first-ever drive-thru-only KFC in the world. In 2020 and 2021, during various COVID-19 restrictions, every business everywhere seemed to embrace keeping customers in their cars. Brisbane even scored temporary lasagne and wine, mac ‘n’ cheese, and Ekka-centric strawberry sundae, dagwood dog and Bertie Beetle showbag drive-thrus.
