This miniature block of land – not long enough to park three cars – has sold for a colossal, unprecedented sum.

The 125-square-metre lot in Palm Beach has set a Queensland record after trading for $750,000, and is a quarter of the size of typical blocks nearby.

It is the highest price paid per square metre for an empty dry residential parcel of land in Queensland (meaning not waterfront), clocking in at $6000 a square metre. Jared Malan of Ray White Burleigh Group did the deal.
