Labor’s EV strategy predicted to fail despite ‘tenfold increase’ in sales

Electric Vehicle Council Chief Executive Behyad Jafari says there has been a “tenfold increase” in electric vehicle sales after estimates have suggested the Labor government’s electric vehicle strategy is set to fail.

The Department of Transport calculates EVs will make up 27 per cent of sales by 2030 which is well below Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s pre-election policies which predicted them to make up 89 per cent of sales.
